Hi, this is Nanyi!
I’m a PhD student at Cornell University’s InterPlay Research Studio led by professor Malte Jung. I’m having fun researching at the intersection of design research, Human-Robot-Interaction (HRI) and Science Technology Studies (STS).
Before my PhD, I got my M.F.A in Media Design Practices(MDP) with Distinction from ArtCenter College of Design and a B.A. in Economics with double minors in Math and Digital Humanities from UCLA. My work had been recognized by Core77, Dutch Design Week and International Conference on Design Principles & Practices.
Besides thinking about critical futures, Nanyi is busy with enjoying life with a human baby, birds, cats and a dog!
